If we read the newspapers, listen to the radio and television news it is the same news everyday, just the finer details that changes. Murder, Robbery, Highjackings ect. Are facts of everyday life. Every second person you talk to is either on their way to Australia or Canada or somewhere where there is law and order. Where they can raise their kids without the fear they experience in SA.
If you talk to people they are quick to blame the Government, Police or anybody that don’t do their part to get this problem under controll. Our people are tired of looking over their shoulders every minute of the day. And we all ask the Questions “Where is it going to end?” “Will it get even worse?” “Is our country going the same route as Zimbabwe?”
Isn’t there anything that can be done to put an end to this? YES there is!
Let us look at some statistics. In the last Census they put South Africa’s population at 48 Million, of which 70% indicated that they are Christians, which amount to 36 Million.
In Matt. 28 Jesus gave us the Great Commission, then Jesus came to them and said:
“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
This was given to all Christians, not only the Pastors and Ministers, but each and every Christian received this commission the day they accepted Christ as their saviour.
Now, to be obedient to the Great Commission is every Christian’s duty. If of the 36 Million people who said they are Christians only 10% are true reborn Christians we have 3, 6 Million Disciples to execute the Great Commission. If 3, 6 Million people each change 1 persons life in the next month, there will be 7, 2 Million Christians in a month from now. If they do the same, in two months there will be 14,4 Million reborn Christians, After 3 Months 28,8 Million and in 4 Months 57,6 Million. Which in effect mean that we would have reached 9, 6 Million of the Illegal Immigrants in the Country as well.
FOUR MONTHS! Now looking at this I ask, Is it the Government, Police or the Christians in SA that don’t do their jobs?

MAKE THE GREAT COMMISSION, YOUR GREAT AMBITION.
We would like to join hands with other Churches to get God’s people mobilised to take the Great Commission that Jesus gave us to heart and start to be part of the solution in SA rather than just complaining and looking to leave the country.
Yes, crime is a reality in our country, but we can make the difference and win this lovely country of ours back.
